WHAT IS COACHING?
The field of coaching has grown dramatically in recent years because it provides a powerful structure for helping people change their lives. Imagine having a skilled guide who is dedicated to your vision of success. This is the job of a personal coach. A coach helps people move from where they currently are to where they most want to be. A coach helps people set goals and do what it takes to attain them.

HOW DOES COACHING WORK?
Coaching sessions are tailored to your individual preferences. Sessions can take place in the coach's office, by telephone or a combination of both. Telephone coaching for 30-45 minute sessions has become popular because it allows you to receive coaching wherever is most convenient for you - at home, the office or the park. Appointment times are scheduled on a weekly or every-other-week basis and contracted for one month at a time. Coaching may be brief to work on a specific goal or may last over a longer period of time as several issues are addressed. Clients are encouraged to try coaching for a trial number of meetings to see if it works for them. A current fee schedule is available upon request.
HOW IS COACHING DIFFERENT FROM PSYCHOTHERAPY?
Coaching is about change but it is not psychotherapy; it has a more forward-looking, goal-oriented focus and rhythm. However, separate coaching can be a useful adjunct to therapy. It is important to discuss with a prospective coach your needs and desires in order to assess what would be in your best interest.
